On November 16th, 2021 ACEC-SK held their annual Awards of Distinction Gala where PINTER was the recipient of the 2021 Community Initiative Award. This is in recognition of PINTER's relief efforts for the Hatchet Lake and Fond Du Lac communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to adverse weather events and the pandemic, these communities faced some issues in providing their residents with basic essentials. Two shipments were coordinated with community leaders filled with materials that they were in most need of including, diapers, formula, water, disinfectant and nonperishable food.

We appreciate the efforts of our staff during this time and for acting in a swift manner to help these communities. PINTER is humbled to receive this recognition and are committed to helping the communities we serve.

Applicants must be a municipal government and partner with at least one other community, such as other municipalities, regional committees, First Nations and parks.

Examples of past TSS-funded projects include training to enhance the governance skills of municipal officials, developing regional emergency plans, completing a joint parks and recreation plan, co-ordinating asset management, harmonizing official community plans and zoning bylaws, undertaking a municipal district feasibility study, and various other projects aimed at strengthening collaboration and co-operation among communities.

Previously approved grants include:
  • $100,000 for assistance with the creation of a municipal district
  • $30,000 for a regional landfill feasibility study
  • $13,000 for governance training for municipal officials
