Building Resilience for a Changing Climate

Climate change is not just an environmental issue; it can also affect your business.  Shifts in temperature, weather patterns, and environmental conditions are leading to more frequent and intense extreme weather events. These events can disrupt operations, damage infrastructure, and impact supply chains. At PINTER, we understand the increasing challenges of a changing climate and offer comprehensive services to help you assess risks, develop adaptation strategies, and build a more sustainable future. We combine our engineering expertise with a deep understanding of climate science to deliver innovative and practical solutions.
Climate Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Studies
  • Climate Lens Assessment (CLA) – Our team guides you through the Climate Lens Assessment (CLA) process, an important requirement for securing funding for some projects from Infrastructure Canada programs like Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) and Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF). We ensure your project meets all requirements, demonstrates its resilience to climate change impacts, and positions you for funding success. For more information on the CLA process, please visit the Infrastructure Canada Climate Lens Program webpage.
  • Flood Risk Assessment – Our services include detailed flood hazard mapping and risk assessments to identify areas prone to flooding. This information allows you to implement effective mitigation strategies and safeguard your assets and community
  • Risk and Vulnerability Mapping – We help identify and quantify climate-related risks and assess the vulnerability of existing infrastructure and assets. This gives you the critical data you need to make informed decisions about infrastructure planning and development.
Climate Change Adaptation Planning
  • Resilient and Sustainable Design – We help design and engineer infrastructure that is resilient to climate change impacts while implementing sustainable practices in design and construction.
  • Integrated Water Resources Management - We develop sustainable plans for water resource management, integrating climate change considerations to mitigate its impacts on water availability and ensure long-term water security.
  • Community Resiliency Planning - Our team assists in developing community-level adaptation plans and strategies, enhancing the resilience of infrastructure and communities. These plans and strategies include emergency awareness plans, infrastructure upgrades, and public awareness campaigns.
