Intermediate Engineer Position

PINTER & Associates Ltd. Saskatoon, SK office has two opportunities for Intermediate Municipal Engineers in our Municipal Engineering Department. Our Saskatoon office has over 20 people supporting our clients locally and across Western Canada.

Responsibilities
Responsibilites include but are not limited to:

  • Project management.
  • Assisting with client development and management.
  • Infrastructure planning design of:
    • Linear infrastructure systems,
    • Water distribution,
    • Sanitary and storm sewer systems.
    • Water and Wastewater Treatment
  • Site grading design.
  • Contract management supervision.
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior engineers, technologists and designers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise related to geotechnical engineering projects in Western Canada and Egypt. This position will involve developing proposals, writing reports, organizing schedules, estimating, liaising with clients, and negotiating contracts.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum B. Sc. degree Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • P. Eng. or to ability to obtain within 2 years.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal services planning, design and construction services.
  • Strong desire to grow professionally into leadership roles.
  • The successful candidate will be a person with initiative and will be a self starter.

Intermediate Engineer Position

PINTER & Associates Ltd. The successful candidate will have a Professional Engineer designation, 5 to 10 years experience in the field of environmental and/or geotechnical engineering. Senior Geotechnical Engineer

PINTER & Associates Ltd. is looking for a dynamic, productive, passionate engineer to head up the geotechnical department. If you are interested in personal development, in being on the ground floor in organizational development, in being able to put forth your vision and guiding departmental development on your terms then you will want this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Leading, managing projects and contract administration on geotechnical projects. Project work may include but necessarily be limited to; geotechnical investigations, subdivision development, roads, foundations, retaining structures and slope stability.
  • Duties would include but may not be limited to;
    • reviewing field data, developing conclusions and recommendations;
    • conducting business development related to geotechnical engineering with current and future clients,
    • supervising junior engineers, technologists and designers, project team direction, co-ordination, monitoring schedules and budgets, and invoice preparation,
    • managing multi-disciplinary teams on geotechnical projects,
    • writing reports, and
    • preparing proposals, requests for expressions of interest, credentials packages, etc.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise related to geotechnical engineering projects in Western Canada and Egypt.
This position will involve developing proposals, writing reports, organizing schedules, estimating, liaising with clients, and negotiating contracts.

Qualifications;

  • Minimum Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering
  • P.Eng status or eligible for P.Eng. in Western Canada
  • 10+ years experience in geotechnical investigations and in the design of foundations, slope stability solutions, retaining structures, roads, sub-divisions, etc.
  • Must be an excellent report writer and have strong, proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading and dealing directly with design teams, clients and approval agencies
  • Experience with construction and contract administration
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Civil 3D, MSOffice 2003 and/or 2007 (in particular Word, Excel and Power Point).
