PINTER had the privilege of attending and presenting a technical talk at the BCEIA BEST conference in beautiful Whistler, BC last week.
We were able to present a case study there featuring one of our national award winning anaerobic bioremediation projects in a program stacked with great technical talks from experts in the environmental industry. Please reach out to PINTER with your trickiest environmental problems, we’d love to work with you on some creative and cost effective solutions! PINTER is very pleased to announce that Abigail Maier, Grade 5 student, from Grenfell SK is the winner of the Engineering & Science Art Work & Essay contest. This contest was co-sponsored by PINTER and the Town of Grenfell. Abigail submitted a handwritten essay and a picture describing how Engineering and Science is important in her life as well as everyone else’s now and into the future. To quote her: “I think that the technology we see today is only a glimpse of things to come in the future. We can only dream of future technologies and imagine the giant possibilities.” Well Done, Abigail, and Congratulations! Following PINTER’s policy of giving back to our Client Communities we donated $5,000 to their Playground Upgrade Project. In conjunction with this PINTER and Grenfell are also holding an Engineering and Science Art Work and Essay Contest for grades 4, 5, and 6. For this contest PINTER donated two, Family Season passes to the Grenfell swimming pool. Good luck, kids!
This is the fifth year PINTER has supported the Environmental category of the USask Engineering Capstone Design Showcase. It is exciting to see the work being produced by the next generation of engineers!
PINTER has been proud to work with the Town of Grenfell throughout the years. When we were told about their Playground Project 2022, we wanted to contribute. A $5,000 donation will go towards the playground's construction set to take place later this year.
On November 16th, 2021 ACEC-SK held their annual Awards of Distinction Gala where PINTER was the recipient of the 2021 Community Initiative Award. This is in recognition of PINTER's relief efforts for the Hatchet Lake and Fond Du Lac communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to adverse weather events and the pandemic, these communities faced some issues in providing their residents with basic essentials. Two shipments were coordinated with community leaders filled with materials that they were in most need of including, diapers, formula, water, disinfectant and nonperishable food.
We appreciate the efforts of our staff during this time and for acting in a swift manner to help these communities. PINTER is humbled to receive this recognition and are committed to helping the communities we serve. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PENgeM9jbsc&t=15 The Targeted Sector Support (TSS) Initiative provides cost-shared grants, up to 75 per cent on eligible costs, to municipalities partnering to strengthen their core municipal responsibilities through projects focused on regional co-operation, capacity building and good governance.
